Hi my grand parents left akka in 1948. They have both past away.. with them is the memory of our home and life in akka. That is painful to say.. i really would give anything to have a taste of our family life and history back there.

My father was born in Acre and was forced to leave with his family in 1948. I have never been to Palestine but I really hope to go one day. It would be nice to meet others in a similar situation, who want to visit Palestine and see the place where their parents/family are from.

I've traveled all over the world and was lucky enough to visit in many amazing cities and places on this planet ,but I could tell you this: there was no place like this breathtaking city of Akka, eventhough kinda small in size and space ,it still provides you with enourmous feelings of greatniss of ancient histories of great people, that still are even to date, the ancestors of the palestinian sailors, that ruled the see and inhabited the land of palestine...I was even overwhelmed by the friendliness and the hospitality of the people in the old section of Akka

My name is Ahmed Saleh Ahmed Ibrahim Essa Saleh Abdullah Ahmed Al-Akki Al-Bathish. In Arabic (أحمد صالح أحمد إبراهيم عيسى صالح عبد الله أحمد العكي آل بطحيش). My family is originally from the city of Acre (Akka). My grandfather fled to Lebanon in 1948. In the 1950؟s, my father moved to Saudi Arabia where he acquired the Saudi citizenship. I was born in Saudi Arabia (1963), and have been living there ever since, but my heart and mind is always with my home land Palestine and my home city Acre (Akka). I can only pray to God that one day I would be able to return back home. I am trying to relocate any of my family members still living in Acre (Akka). If you think you are related to my family in any way, please contact me on my e-mail; ahmed.al-akki@riyadbank.com. God bless you all.
