Town's name through history
Both Crusades and Romans referred to Jabbul by Gebul.
Schools
Jabbul didn't have a school, however, its students used to attend school in the nearby village of Kawkab al-Hawa.

The village borders Wadi Yubla from southwest and Wadi al-'Ashsha from the south.

According to the Palestinian historian Walid Khalidi, the village remaining structures on the village land are:
"The houses have been reduced to rubble and are overgrown with trees, thorns, and wild grass."
