Ethnically cleansing by Israelis	Although the villages of Sabbarin, al-Sundyana, and al-Fureidis were welling to surrender to the Haganah, they were mostly ethically cleansed upon occupation. The IZL attacking unites held captive close to 100 old people, women, and children behind barbed wire, then they were completely ethnically cleansed southeast to Umm al-Fahim in the Jinn area.

Nearby wadies & rivers	The village was situated on the banks of Wadi al-Tin
Water supplies	Sabbarin had numerous nearby wadis and springs which provided it with its water needs.
Archeological sites	A large masonry shaft west of Sabbarin, which has been identified as the head of the Caesarea High Level Roman aqueduct, drew water from springs near Sabbarin

According to the Palestinian historian Walid Khalidi, the village remaining structures on the village land are:
"The large site, strewn with the stone debris of houses, is overgrown with wild thorns"
